Minnesota officials keep trying to sell the country a humdinger of a fairy tale about what’s happening in their backyard, and it’s starting to get embarrassing. The Hennepin County Minneapolis attorney Mary Moriarty is now insisting there’s no Somali gang problem in the state.

None. Zero. Zilch.

This article from 2011 says something very different.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The girl was 12 when the gangsters told her the rule: They would sell her for sex to men outside the gang, but members of the Somali Outlaws or the Somali Mafia would use her for free.

For more than two years she was taken on “missions” to abandoned garages, men’s bathrooms, apartments and hotels, enduring hours with multiple men so gang members could get money, pot or booze. Though her mother confronted two of the men twice early on and warned them the girl wasn’t even 13, they continued to prostitute her.

That sounds like organized, targeted, and downright terrifying gang activity.

Even so, now liberals are scrambling to pretend nothing’s wrong in Minneapolis, as if everything is roses and gumdrops.

It’s all in your head, America… Somalis are salt-of-the-earth people; just listen to the Minneapolis mayor.

“He’s wrong and we want them here. Somali people have been an extraordinary benefit to our city… they have added to the cultural fabric of what Minneapolis is.”

Meanwhile, the actual sheriff is out here waving receipts around about violent criminals walking free and gangs wreaking havoc. Not to mention, the public is staring down a massive amount of fraud all tied to the exact communities she claims are as harmless as church mice.

This issue blew up right after President Trump called out the very real issues inside Minnesota’s Somali population… issues everyone in the state and beyond knows about because they either live with the consequences or see the reports online.

As we mentioned earlier, a Minnesota sheriff, the guy actually dealing with reality on the street, totally disagrees with Ms. Moriarty. He says the Somali gang activity is real, organized, violent, and growing.

Minnesota Lady:

The “soft on crime” Attorney in Minneapolis, Mary Moriarty says there isn’t a Somali gang problem in Minnesota. Sheriff Bob Fletcher that says otherwise in this video and a gang member below was charged with illegally possessing a machine gun.

And the sheriff is right. It looks very real.

One independent reporter was just trying to ask some simple questions when his cameraman was attacked by a gang member in an area of Minneapolis called “Little Mogadishu,” which certainly doesn’t sound like a safe place to hang out.

Another independent journalist has been on the streets in Minneapolis speaking to the Somali community, and he reports that the gangs rule the streets.

And here’s where the whole “no Somali gang problem” narrative really falls apart at the seams. Back in July, a Minnesota congressman went on record spelling out exactly what’s happening on the ground in his state. Real events, real victims, and zero media coverage. He’s listed specific attacks at schools, graduations, and public spaces that the Twin Cities press refuses to report on.

Moriarty’s denial is sounding a lot like deliberate gaslighting.

There’s a soft-on-crime agenda running the show in Minneapolis, and that’s why violent predators keep getting released back onto the streets to commit even more heinous crimes.

A two-time convicted rapist got zero jail time and was recently arrested for kidnapping and assaulting a woman over several days. This guy acts like he can get away with murder, and why wouldn’t he? He’s used to waltzing out of police stations without a care in the world.

Here’s the part Minnesota’s political class really hopes you forget. Long before all this Somali gang crime was front and center, Somali-run nonprofits, groups, and individuals pulled off scams and fraud totaling one billion dollars.

A billion dollars… with a “b”… stolen from hardworking American taxpayers. That can’t stand.

And now, there’s a much-needed federal immigration sweep on the horizon. The Somali problem in Minnesota has gotten so out of control that Trump’s admin has to step in and clean up the dangerous and costly mess.

Federal authorities are preparing a targeted immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota that would primarily focus on Somali immigrants living unlawfully in the U.S., according to a person familiar with the planning.

The move comes as President Donald Trump again on Tuesday escalated rhetoric about Minnesota’s sizable Somali community, saying he did not want immigrants from the east African country in the U.S. because “they contribute nothing.”

The enforcement operation could begin in the coming days and is expected to focus on the Minneapolis–St. Paul area and people with final orders of deportation, the person said. Teams of immigration agents would spread across the Twin Cities in what the person described as a directed, high-priority sweep, though the plans remain subject to change.

Pretending Minnesota is some unicorn-and-fairy-dust paradise with no problems is exactly how the state wound up with billion-dollar fraud rings, election messes, gangs terrorizing neighborhoods, and violent predators walking free without serving a single day behind bars.

It’s time to Make Minnesota Great Again, and that starts by telling the truth and rooting out the Somali criminal networks, gang activity, and fraud operations that have been allowed to fester for way too long.
